Episode Guide
How Survivor: Caramoan unfolded, week by week.
- 1“She Annoys Me Greatly”Feb 13, 2013Twenty players hit Caramoan for Fans vs. Favorites, ten returning Favorites on Bikal against ten newcomers on Gota. The Favorites are first to Tribal, where Phillip Sheppard's bizarre 'Stealth R Us' shtick grates immediately, especially on Francesca Hogi, who openly clashes with him. The tribe sides with Phillip, and Francesca is voted out 6-4, becoming the first person ever to be the first boot of two different seasons.
- 2“Honey Badger”Feb 20, 2013Over on Gota, the Fans split fast into a cocky 'cool kids' clique around Reynold and Eddie and everyone else. When Gota loses, the outsiders strike first, and Allie Pohevitz, tied to that group, is voted out 6-4.
- 3“There's Gonna Be Hell to Pay”Feb 27, 2013Gota's infighting deepens, the loud, abrasive Shamar feuding openly with Reynold and Eddie. The tribe loses again, the vote ties three ways, and on the revote Hope Driskill is sent home, another casualty of the Fans' civil war.
- 4“Kill or Be Killed”Mar 6, 2013Gota's misery compounds. Shamar Thomas scratches his cornea, and when the eye worsens medical pulls him from the game, sparing the tribe a constant headache. The same stretch sees Reynold Toepfer dig up a hidden idol and play it at Tribal, voiding the votes against him; the majority pivots, and Laura Alexander is voted out instead.
- 5“Persona Non Grata”Mar 13, 2013On Bikal, the volatile Brandon Hantz, Russell's nephew, finally boils over. Convinced Phillip Sheppard and the others are disrespecting him, Brandon dumps the tribe's entire supply of rice and beans in a rage and squares off with Phillip at camp. The meltdown is so severe that Probst steps in before any vote and removes Brandon from the game outright, an ejection rather than an elimination.
- 6“Operation Thunder Dome”Mar 20, 2013The tribes are reshuffled, and with the Favorites holding the numbers on the new lineups, they start picking off the newcomers. Matt Bischoff is voted out 4-2-1 as the Fans' position crumbles.
- 7“Tubby Lunchbox”Mar 27, 2013Reynold Toepfer, somehow holding yet another hidden idol, plays it again at Tribal to protect himself. The Favorites adjust on the fly, and with the vote tied, Julia Landauer is sent home, the Fans down to their last few.
- 8“Blindside Time”Apr 3, 2013The tribes merge into Enil Edam, named for Cochran's mother spelled backward, and the Favorites' numbers loom large. Corinne Kaplan, scheming to peel a few Fans into a counter-alliance, is blindsided 7-5 as the first boot of the merge.
- 9“Cut Off the Head of the Snake”Apr 10, 2013Reynold's idol magic continues, but it can't shield everyone. He plays it once more, and the votes redirect onto Michael Snow, voted out 7-3-1 as the first member of the jury.
- 10“Zipping Over the Cuckoo's Nest”Apr 17, 2013The 'Three Amigos', Malcolm, Reynold, and Eddie, make their stand, and Malcolm plays an idol on Eddie to scramble the math. The chaos catches Phillip Sheppard instead, the self-styled Specialist whose 'Stealth R Us' reign finally ends, voted out 4-4-2 to the jury.
- 11“Come Over to the Dark Side”Apr 24, 2013The Amigos keep swinging, and Reynold plays yet another idol, but the Favorites read it right and aim elsewhere. The votes fall on Malcolm Freberg, the most dangerous of the trio, and he's voted out 3-3-3 to the jury, the rebellion all but broken.
- 12“The Beginning of the End”May 1, 2013A double-elimination night snuffs out the resistance for good. First Reynold Toepfer, finally out of idols, is voted out 4-2-1-1, and then Andrea Boehlke, a sharp challenge and strategic threat, is blindsided 3-2-2, both sent to the jury as Cochran and Dawn's alliance tightens its grip.
- 13“Don't Say Anything About My Mom”May 8, 2013Dawn Meehan makes the season's most wrenching cut, turning on her closest friend: Brenda Lowe, who'd once dived into the ocean again and again to retrieve Dawn's lost retainer, is voted out 3-2-1 in a tearful betrayal. Then the night takes a medical turn, as Erik Reichenbach, depleted and faint from barely eating, is pulled from the game by medical at the final five.
- 14“Last Push”FinaleMay 12, 2013Finale night, and John Cochran closes out a near-flawless game. Eddie Fox, the last of the Three Amigos, is voted out in fourth, leaving Cochran alongside Dawn Meehan and the lone remaining Fan, Sherri Biethman, at the end. At Final Tribal, the jury rewards Cochran's total command of the season, the superfan who returned and ran the game from start to finish, in a clean 8-0-0 sweep, with Dawn and Sherri shut out.
