John Cochran lived the superfan dream twice. In South Pacific he was the nervous, sunburned law student who made the season's most infamous flip — turning on his own tribe at the merge — and got voted out for it soon after, a cautionary tale he openly regretted.
Caramoan was his redemption. Cochran came back sharper, funnier, and ruthless, riding a perfect-storm position to three individual immunities and total control of the endgame. He won 8-0, the unanimous champion who turned a lifetime of watching into a clinic.
