Survivor: Kaôh Rōng · Season 32
Episode Guide
How Survivor: Kaôh Rōng unfolded, week by week.
- 1“I'm a Mental Giant”Feb 17, 2016The season splits eighteen players into three tribes by trait: the Brains, the Brawn, and the Beauty. Right away the Brawn tribe is a mess, with Darnell losing the all-important fishing gear in the surf and Alecia loudly insisting she's 'a mental giant' while everything falls apart around her. Brawn drops the opener, and after a deadlocked 3-3 vote forces a revote, Darnell is the first one sent home, 4-0.
- 2“Kindergarten Camp”Feb 24, 2016Brawn just can't get out of its own way, squabbling through challenges and camp life like a tribe of kids. At Tribal, Jennifer Lanzetti makes the mistake of blurting out a women's-alliance plan in the open, painting a target on herself in the process. The gambit backfires, and Jennifer is voted out 3-2 as Brawn coughs up yet another loss.
- 3“The Circle of Life”Mar 2, 2016Out on the Beauty beach, Tai finally unlocks the hidden idol he's been chasing, just as a new wrinkle drops: two idols can be fused into a super idol powerful enough to be played even after the votes are read. Over on Brains, Aubry is quietly battling panic attacks and nearly talks herself out of the game entirely. When the over-thinking Brains land at Tribal and deadlock 2-2-2, the revote sends Liz Markham home 3-0.
- 4“Signed, Sealed and Delivered”Mar 9, 2016The heat becomes the real opponent in a reward challenge run under a punishing sun, and bodies start dropping: Debbie goes down first, then Cydney, and then Caleb, who's hit the hardest of all. Medical rushes in and Caleb is airlifted out by helicopter in one of the most frightening scenes the show has ever aired, his game ending on Day 9. Once the dust settles and the tribe recovers, Brawn still has a Tribal to attend, and Alecia is voted out 3-1.
- 5“The Devils We Know”Mar 16, 2016The game shrinks to two tribes in a swap that scatters the old alliances, and amid the reshuffle Neal quietly digs up a hidden idol. The new lineup leaves Anna on the outside, unable to find a foothold with her fresh batch of tribemates. When her group drops immunity, Anna is voted out 5-1, the first to go under the new tribe lines.
- 6“Play or Go Home”Mar 23, 2016Peter Baggenstos, an ER doctor who's taken to calling himself the puppet master, struts into Tribal certain he's running the whole show. Aubry has other ideas, quietly steering the vote while letting Peter keep believing he's safe. The blindside lands clean, and Peter is voted out 4-2-2, his master plan undone in a single night.
- 7“It's Merge Time”Mar 30, 2016The tribes come together as Dara and the individual game is finally on, with everyone scrambling to map out the new lines of power. But before the merged tribe ever reaches its first Tribal, an infected knee that's been steadily worsening forces medical to step in and pull Neal from the game. He leaves with a hidden idol still in his bag, never to be played, and with his exit there's no vote at all this week.
- 8“The Jocks vs. the Pretty People”Apr 6, 2016Nick has spent the entire game certain he's the smartest guy on the beach, and heading into the first merge vote he's sure a Brain is going home. What he doesn't notice is the women quietly linking up with Joe and the Brains to flip the numbers right out from under him. When the votes are read, it's Nick who's blindsided 6-2-1-1, the cocky Beauty becoming the very first member of the jury.
- 9“It's Psychological Warfare”Apr 13, 2016Frustrated and out of power, Scot and Jason go scorched-earth on camp, hiding the machete and axe, dumping out the water, and putting out the fire to make everyone else as miserable as they are. Through all the chaos, Debbie, who's regaled the tribe with stories of her dozens of past careers, has been talking a little too freely about her plans. Aubry and Cydney decide she's become a loose end, and Debbie is blindsided 4-3-2 and sent to the jury.
- 10“I'm Not Here to Make Good Friends”Apr 20, 2016Scot and Jason think they've got the perfect insurance: combine their idols into a super idol and blow the vote wide open. But Aubry has gotten to Tai, who quietly agrees to flip on them. At Tribal, the super idol comes apart when Tai refuses to hand his over at the crucial moment, and the safety net the Brawn guys were counting on never materializes. Scot is voted out 4-2-2, an idol left unplayed and his alliance in ruins.
- 11“It's a 'Me' Game, Not a 'We' Game”Apr 27, 2016Julia, the teenager who's been quietly working every angle of the game, has become the player nobody quite trusts anymore, and the majority decides it's time. Michele steps up and wins the immunity that keeps herself safe, leaving Julia without a shield. When the votes come in, Julia is sent to the jury 5-2, her under-the-radar run finally caught up to her.
- 12“Now's the Time to Start Scheming”May 4, 2016Tai has been playing erratically, and he pulls out an extra-vote advantage at Tribal, casting two votes against Michele in a bid to take her down. But the rest of the alliance has already moved on from that plan, and the votes stack up elsewhere. Jason, the last of the Brawn troublemakers and now with no idol left to protect him, is voted out 4-2-1 and heads off to the jury.
- 13“With Me or Not With Me”May 11, 2016After a reward feast loaded with rich food, 72-year-old Joe Del Campo starts to struggle, unable to relieve a painful blockage that only gets worse through the day. Medical examines him and makes the difficult call to pull him from the game just days from the end. Joe's exit lands hard on Aubry, who loses her closest ally heading into the final stretch, and with his medevac there's no vote this week.
- 14“Not Going Down Without a Fight”FinaleMay 18, 2016Finale night, and the final-four Tribal deadlocks 2-2 between Aubry and Cydney, forcing the two of them to make fire for the last spot at the end. Aubry builds her flame faster, and Cydney's game ends in fourth. Before the final vote, Michele earns an advantage that lets her remove a single juror and uses it to pull Neal. That leaves Aubry, Michele, and Tai to plead their cases at Final Tribal, and the jury hands it to Michele 5-2 over Aubry with Tai shut out. Against all the early predictions, Michele Fitzgerald is the Sole Survivor.
