Stephenie LaGrossa became a folk hero in Palau as the sole survivor of Ulong — the only tribe ever ground down to a single person, who then walked alone into the merged Koror tribe and kept fighting. CBS brought her back the very next season for Guatemala, where she nearly went all the way, finishing runner-up to Danni Boatwright.
An early Heroes vs. Villains exit followed, but two decades after her debut she returned for Survivor 50 as Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, winning an immunity at 45 before bowing out in tenth — proof the Ulong grit never left.
