Episode Guide
How Survivor: Winners at War unfolded, week by week.
- 1“Greatest of the Greats”Feb 12, 2020Twenty champions return to battle for two million dollars, sorted onto the Sele and Dakal tribes and introduced to two brand-new wrinkles: a fire-token economy and the Edge of Extinction, where the voted-out go to fight their way back in. Sele draws the first trip to Tribal, and it turns out even a winner can't escape being the obvious early number. Natalie Anderson is voted out 7-2-1, the first champion shipped off to the Edge.
- 2“It's Like a Survivor Economy”Feb 19, 2020The fire-token economy comes into focus as the winners start sizing up this strange new currency and everything it might buy. Over on Dakal, the numbers shake out against Amber Mariano, who can't quite find her footing among a tribe full of strategists. She's voted out 6-3-1 and sent to join the growing Edge, willing her tokens away on her way out the door.
- 3“Out for Blood”Feb 26, 2020Sele is right back at Tribal, and the vote is about as lopsided as they come. Danni Boatwright, a quieter presence on a beach full of huge personalities, never manages to wedge herself into the tight pairs forming all around her. She's voted out 8-1, a near-unanimous send-off to the Edge.
- 4“I Like Revenge”Mar 4, 2020Sele's vote turns chaotic, splintering across a few names with nobody feeling totally safe. Ethan Zohn, the beloved Africa champion who beat cancer in the years between his seasons, gets caught up in a messy three-way split. When the votes are counted, Ethan is voted out 4-3-1, an emotional goodbye to one of the show's most cherished winners.
- 5“The Buddy System on Steroids”Mar 11, 2020Dakal finally hits Tribal, and Tyson strolls in expecting an easy vote against Nick. What he never sees coming is Sandra, who's caught wind that Tyson floated her name and decides to move first. The blindside lands perfectly, and Tyson is voted out 7-1-1, the Queen sending one of the game's craftiest players off to the Edge.
- 6“Quick on the Draw”Mar 18, 2020A double-Tribal night sends two legends packing. First, Sele turns on Parvati, who's voted out 4-1 and hands her stash of fire tokens to Michele on her way to the Edge. Then comes the stunner: Sandra, the only two-time winner in the game, had given her idol to Denise believing it bought her safety. Instead, Denise quietly steers the vote and sends Sandra out, the unassuming therapist taking down the self-proclaimed Queen.
- 7“We're in the Majors”Mar 25, 2020Out on the Edge, Sandra makes history in her own way, deciding she has zero interest in grinding to claw back in. She raises the sail and quits the Edge of Extinction outright, the first player ever to walk away from the comeback. Back in the game, the last vote before the merge catches Yul Kwon completely off guard, and he's blindsided 3-2 and sent to the Edge.
- 8“This is Where the Battle Begins”Apr 1, 2020The Edge of Extinction holds its first re-entry challenge, and Tyson edges out Boston Rob to claw his way back into the game just as the tribes merge into Koru. The returning players regroup for the first individual vote, and Wendell Holland lands on the wrong side of the new math. He's voted out 9-3 and sent right back to the Edge, while Tyson settles into his second life in the game.
- 9“War is Not Pretty”Apr 8, 2020Adam, scrambling to stay alive, cooks up one of the boldest bluffs in years, trying to convince the tribe that a chunk of Probst's own Tribal Council podium is a hidden idol. Nobody buys it for a second. The group swings the vote his way, and Adam is voted out 8-2-1, his fake-idol gambit going down as a swing and a miss.
- 10“The Full Circle”Apr 15, 2020The loved-ones visit brings a rare burst of joy to a brutal game, but the strategy never lets up. At a wild Tribal, Jeremy pulls out a Safety Without Power advantage and simply strolls out before the votes are read, while Kim plays a hidden idol to cover herself once the dust settles. When the smoke clears, Tyson is voted out for the second time, becoming the first player ever sent to the Edge twice.
- 11“This Is Extortion”Apr 22, 2020From the Edge, Natalie and Parvati dig up an Extortion Advantage and aim it squarely at Tony, demanding six fire tokens or he'll lose his vote and his shot at immunity. Tony hustles tokens off Jeremy, Nick, and Ben to pay the ransom, then goes out and wins immunity anyway. Free and clear, he turns around and engineers a blindside on Sophie, who'd been getting a little too close to his partner Sarah. Sophie is voted out 4-3-2 to cap a whirlwind of an episode.
- 12“Friendly Fire”Apr 29, 2020Kim cooks up a clever plan with Denise, Michele, and Nick: let Tony win immunity on purpose so the group can finally line up the votes against his allies. It backfires the instant it's set in motion. Tony takes immunity, the plan crumbles, and Kim is left exposed by her own scheme. She's voted out 5-3, undone by the very move she designed.
- 13“The Penultimate Step of the War”May 6, 2020The Edge of Extinction holds its final re-entry, and Natalie Anderson, who's dominated out there since the very first vote, wins her way back into the game deep in the endgame. Inside, it's a double-Tribal night. At the first, Nick wins immunity and the vote splinters before the men band together to send Jeremy out 3-2-2. At the second, Michele grabs immunity, the group turns on Nick, and he's voted out to the jury. Two heavy hitters gone in one night, with Natalie crashing right back into the mix.
- 14“It All Boils Down to This”FinaleMay 13, 2020Finale night is a marathon. At the first Tribal, idols fly as Natalie, Tony, and Ben all play them to void a pile of votes, and on the revote Denise is sent to the jury. Next, Natalie plays yet another idol to protect herself, and the vote falls on Ben. That sets a final four of Tony, Natalie, Michele, and Sarah, where Natalie wins the last immunity and chooses to bring Michele to the end, forcing Tony and Sarah, the 'Cops R Us' partners who'd ridden together all game, to make fire against each other. Tony's flame burns through the rope first, and Sarah's game ends one step short. At Final Tribal, the jury rewards Tony's relentless, chaotic, idol-hunting game in a near-landslide, handing him the title 12-4 over Natalie with Michele shut out. Tony Vlachos becomes just the second two-time winner ever, and the first to take home the two-million-dollar prize.
