Savannah Louie, a former TV news reporter, played Survivor 49 with the poise of someone used to a camera and the instincts of a real strategist. She stayed central to the vote through a chaotic post-merge and racked up four individual immunities once the game turned individual.
Her toughest test came at the final four, where she won a fire-making tiebreaker to save her own game. Then she stood in the first all-women final three since San Juan del Sur and won 5-2-1, closing out the season on her own terms — and earned a spot on the all-returnee Survivor 50.
