The story

Mike Chiesl was a Marine and lifeguard who anchored the Zapatera tribe in Redemption Island — a genuinely strong, well-liked competitor stuck on the wrong side of a season Boston Rob's Ometepe ran into the ground. When Zapatera crumbled, Mike got shipped to the Redemption Island arena and refused to fold, grinding out duel wins to keep his game alive.

He fought his way back toward contention only to run into the Ometepe machine again, voted out in eighth. A tough, honorable player who deserved a better tribe than the one he drew.
