Elisabeth Filarski was the warm, openhearted footwear designer of Survivor: The Australian Outback, one of the most genuinely liked players of the early era. She was a fixture of the Kucha tribe — the tribe rocked by Michael Skupin's horrifying fall into the campfire — and after the merge she fought alongside the surviving Kucha members against the Ogakor bloc that ultimately controlled the endgame.
She was voted out in fourth, just short of the finale, and her likability never left her: she went on to far greater national fame as Elisabeth Hasselbeck, longtime co-host of The View. One of the original seasons' most enduring fan favorites.
