Survivor: China · Season 15
Episode Guide
How Survivor: China unfolded, week by week.
- 1“A Chicken's a Little Bit Smarter”Sep 20, 2007The season opens with a ceremony at a real Buddhist temple, where Leslie Nease quietly steps away from the kneeling on religious grounds, an early sign of how personally this cast plays. Split into Fei Long and Zhan Hu, the tribes get a fresh idol-clue twist where the winners kidnap someone from the losers. When Zhan Hu drops the opener, the survival-savvy Chicken Morris is, ironically, the odd man out and the first one voted out.
- 2“My Mom Is Going to Kill Me!”Sep 27, 2007Zhan Hu can't stop losing, and the tribe starts grading each other on who's actually pulling their weight around camp. Ashley Massaro, the WWE star, comes up short on the work ethic the rest of the tribe is looking for. When they hit Tribal, Ashley is the one voted out, 6-1.
- 3“I Lost Two Hands and Possibly a Shoulder”Oct 4, 2007Fei Long has cruised all season, so their first trip to Tribal scrambles the picture. Leslie Nease, the Christian radio host, has never quite cracked the tight Fei Long alliance of Todd, Amanda, Courtney, and the rest. With the tribe finally forced to cut someone, Leslie is the odd one out, voted out 6-2.
- 4“Ride the Workhorse Till the Tail Falls Off”Oct 11, 2007Zhan Hu is a mess, and a big reason is Dave Cruser, whose drill-sergeant 'boot camp' leadership has run the tribe ragged and gotten under everyone's skin. Peih-Gee, Erik, Frosti, and the rest decide they've had it with being worked to the bone. When Zhan Hu loses again, Dave is voted out 5-1.
- 5“Love Is In the Air”Oct 18, 2007A tribe swap shuffles the camps, sending James and Aaron over to Zhan Hu while Frosti and Sherea move to Fei Long, and showmance sparks start flying on both beaches. On the new Zhan Hu, the original members keep their numbers and look to pick off an incoming Fei Long. Aaron Reisberger is the one they cut, blindsided right after the swap.
- 6“That's Love, Baby! It Makes You Strong!”Oct 25, 2007With the merge looming, the new Fei Long, anchored by the original core of Todd, Amanda, and Denise, tightens its grip and folds the useful newcomers like Frosti into the fold. Sherea Lloyd, swapped over from Zhan Hu, can't find a way into those numbers. Fei Long loses, and Sherea is voted out 5-2, leaving Fei Long loaded heading into the merge.
- 7“I'm Not As Dumb As I Look”Nov 1, 2007The tribes merge into Hae Da Fung, and Fei Long rolls in with a commanding numbers edge over the scattered old Zhan Hu. Jaime Dugan tries to flip the script, confidently pulling out what she's sure is a hidden idol at Tribal, only for Probst to inform her the carved stone grants exactly nothing. Jaime is voted out 7-3, fake idol and all.
- 8“High School Friend Contest”Nov 8, 2007With Fei Long firmly in control, the alliance starts picking off the threats and the loud voices. Jean-Robert Bellande, the poker player, has been talking far too much strategy and rubbing people the wrong way, which paints a target squarely on his back. Jean-Robert is voted out 5-3-1 as Fei Long keeps thinning the field.
- 9“Just Don't Eat the Apple”Nov 15, 2007Frosti Zernow has quietly become a strong, likable challenge threat, and that's exactly why the Fei Long core decides he's too dangerous to keep around. Todd engineers the move, and Frosti, never suspecting a thing, walks straight into a blindside. He's voted out 7-1 as the first member of the jury, the alliance proving it'll happily cut its own.
- 10“Ready to Bite the Apple”Nov 29, 2007This is the one. Amanda decides James Clement, strong and beloved and sitting on real power, has to go before he runs away with the whole game. The catch: James is holding not one but two hidden immunity idols. So Amanda's group tells outsider Peih-Gee to act like she's the target, lulling James into a false sense of safety. He buys it completely and plays neither idol, and James is voted out 5-1-1 with both idols still in his pocket, the most infamous idol blunder the game had ever seen.
- 11“Going for the Oscar”Dec 6, 2007With James gone, the Fei Long core keeps tightening toward an all-original-Fei-Long end, everyone quietly performing for everyone else. Erik Huffman, a former Zhan Hu who'd blended into the alliance, is the next thread they pull. Erik is voted out 4-2 as the final five comes into view.
- 12“Hello, I'm Still a Person”Dec 13, 2007Peih-Gee Law, the last original Zhan Hu still standing, is the obvious next target for the Fei Long four. Around the vote, Denise Martin's emotional arc boils over; feeling overlooked and disrespected by her own allies, she pleads, 'Hello, I'm still a person!' The vote still lands on Peih-Gee, who's voted out 4-1, leaving an all-Fei-Long final four.
- 13“A Slippery Little Sucker”FinaleDec 16, 2007Finale night, and the loyalty Todd kept promising finally runs out. Denise Martin, despite all his assurances, is voted out in fourth, a betrayal that stings the jury. That sets a Final Tribal of Todd Herzog, Courtney Yates, and Amanda Kimmel, where the jury rips into all three. But where Amanda over-apologizes and Courtney leans on attitude, Todd owns his manipulative, masterful game and earns the jury's respect. They hand it to him 4-2-1, crowning Todd the Sole Survivor.
