The story

James Jones brought a chess champion's brain to Survivor 43 — an event planner from Philadelphia who'd won a national title in his rating bracket at twelve and came in promising to manufacture fake advantages. Instead he fished a real one, the 'Knowledge is Power' steal, out of the season's well.

Forced into a more exposed power game than he wanted, and tangled in a public clash with Owen Knight, James was blindsided in tenth before he could cash it in. A sharp tactical mind who never quite got the board he needed.
