Domenick Abbate played Ghost Island at a full sprint — a real idol found on night three, a convincing fake he whittled himself, a Legacy Advantage, and a season-long chess match with rival Wendell Holland that powered the entire back half of the game. He stacked three immunity wins on top of it all.
It ended in the tightest finale in Survivor history. The jury split 5-5 between Domenick and Wendell, forcing the deciding vote to fall to finalist Laurel Johnson — who chose Wendell. Domenick's five jury votes are the most any runner-up has ever received, and still one vote shy of the win.
